KALLAN JONES is our black belt of the month for September 2024!
Kallan began his Taekwondo journey at World Martial Arts as a Tiny Tiger at three years old. We have less than ten Tiny Tigers that have made it all the way to black belt and he is only one of two that has trained all the way to second degree black belt! He joined our Leadership Team at the beginning of 2023 and has done a fantastic job helping our students on the mats. His younger brother and mom also train with us and are high red and high blue belts.
Here are his answers to our interview questions!
What is your favorite TKD kick or form?
My favorite kick is side kick and my favorite form is Koryo.
How has Taekwondo changed your life?
I think Taekwondo has given me patience, confidence, and leadership. It has helped me grow through the years.
Do you have any hobbies?
Baseball, trumpet, video games, reading, coding and a lot more.
What are your aspirations for the future?
To be a ninja coder...just kidding! A coder and I want to be a 5th degree black belt in the future to have the title "Master" everywhere in the world. [This is because in Korea, a full Taekwondo "master"/Sabumnim must be a 5th degree. Outside Korea, 4th degree is considered master rank.]
As Kallan’s Grandmother I am so proud of his accomplishments and future goals. TKD is teaching life lessons to all their students. Good job to all.
